Marvelous May, what a start to the season

Our May started with our usual spot on Kings Rd market which takes place the first Saturday of every month and Jack in the Green the following Monday which is one of Hastings biggest celebrations involving lots of green painted faces and flowered headbands, a great start and familiar territory. The second weekend of May saw us catering for an 18th birthday party on the Friday then at the West Kent Garden and Craft Show in Tonbridge (Saturday and Sunday). This was a new venture for us, and disappointing weather on Saturday kept the crowds away, but Sunday was a bit more cheery and we enjoyed introducing people to their first tastes of South American street food. The third weekend in May saw us at Faerie Fest near Alfriston, which is the closest thing to a proper hippy festival we will probably see this year. it was certainly an eye opener and we look forward to feeding the Fae folk again next year. Then the last weekend in May we ventured to Pippingford Park for Elderflower Fields a pretty awesome family festival with great music in a beautiful woodland location. Highlights of the weekend were Chainska Brassica, The Marching Skaletons and the Cleaning Clowns. We can't wait to do it all again next year.
